The Sucuri Website Hacked Report - Quarterly Review
How Websites Get Hacked and the Malware Used
As our teams organized our Q1 data for internal use, we realized how valuable these insights would be to all website owners. So we thought, let's share it! In this report, we kept in mind what would be most useful to our community. At Sucuri, we are well situated to provide a unique perspective into what is happening with the security of websites, specifically how they are being compromised and what attackers are doing with the websites once they are successful.

On May 18, 2016, we released a "Websites Hacked Report" that provides insights on the top open-source CMS we work on, the state of out-of-date software and the specific malware families we're seeing. The report is the first of its kind and shows the trends for Q1 2016 for Drupal, WordPress, Joomla! and Magento.

Specifically, this report includes:
  • Affected open-source CMS applications

  • Details on the WordPress platform

  • Malware Families and their Effects
